Key Fob Systems

Key fobs provide a compact credential that can be assigned to an employee, resident, vendor, or manager without distributing a mechanical key for every shared entrance. They are often considered for apartment common areas, office entries, amenity rooms, and other managed openings where access changes over time.

Fob systems are not interchangeable. Reader frequency, credential format, controller support, enrollment method, and management software must match. We identify the existing equipment and intended workflow before recommending whether to extend a current system or plan a replacement.

A quote depends on the number and condition of doors, lock and reader hardware, controller capacity, wiring and power access, fob quantity, software or licensing, and any supported gate, elevator, intercom, or mobile-access connection. A property with an existing system may also need identification or testing before compatible additions can be scoped.

During an on-site assessment, we review the controlled openings and who will administer them. That makes it possible to provide a defined installation proposal and distinguish required equipment from optional credentials, management features, or future expansion.

Before fobs are issued, the property should define who can enroll credentials, change access groups, respond to a lost fob, and remove access after an employee or resident leaves. A consistent naming and offboarding process helps administrators understand which credentials remain active.

Mobile credentials, temporary visitor access, remote changes, event alerts, and offline behavior vary by system. We confirm which requested functions are supported by the proposed equipment and help plan an alternate entry procedure for power, reader, controller, or connectivity interruptions.
